DESCRIPTION: Pictorial Yei Navajo rugs feature depictions of Yei figures, spiritual deities in Navajo culture believed to be intermediaries between humans and the holy people. This rug features seven Yei figures standing upright, dressed in ceremonial attire, and surrounded by corn stalks. Woven with rich colors and deep cultural meaning, pictorial Yei rugs go beyond decoration, they’re visual stories honoring Navajo beliefs, traditions, and cosmology.
